U1300L/37 Dash Decals: Variations and Meanings Explained

These are recreations of the decals that go on either side of the shift lights on the dash of a U1300L/37 and other models.

I don’t know how many variations of this exist. If you have a different one, please send me a photo.

I also don’t know what half of this stuff means.

  • The 1-8 shift pattern is obviously the main trans shifter.
  • The two “P”s are obviously parking brake but I don’t know why there are three positions (mine is either on or off) and the word “TEST” is a mystery.
  • The bottom left box is how to engage the PTO with the clutch and the knob I assume.
  • The stuff on the right side is still a mystery – I do not have any of this on my truck. Maybe it has to do with working and crawler gears.
  • Turtle = slow
  • Rabbit = fast
  • Donkey = high torque, can carry heavy load?

Here are the photos I was working off of:

Mine are not perfect copies by any stretch. I took a bit of artistic license with line thicknesses, alignment, and sizing.
